Stuart Johnson is an outstanding capital project manager. This collaboration has covered the concept, design, technical design and building of the kinetic Glasshouse and Silk Route Gardens by Heatherwick Studio on behalf of the Woolbeding Charity. His astute foresight in contract preparation, his detailed knowledge of all aspects of construction projects, his firm but engaging relationship management, and his meticulous hold on every aspect of the project team's performance and delivery - especially across extreme challenges of the pandemic period - successfully mitigated the risk to a charity in creating a significant contribution to UK garden and design heritage with highly innovative engineering, bringing the whole project together successfully, under budget, and with a magnificient work of technical and artistic merit of which all involved can be proud. Stuart was essential to this success. We could not confidently have done without him.
